Communications, preferences and consent
Manage how members want to hear from you, record the consent behind every communication and keep engagement connected to the member record.
MemEx lets members control how they hear from you by channel and topic, rather than relying on a single all-or-nothing preference. Those choices stay with the member record, giving your team a clear history of what somebody has agreed to receive and when that preference changed.
Operational communications can be triggered by activity across MemEx - from renewals and CPD deadlines to bookings and document updates - using the right channel for the message and the member.
Marketing campaigns can continue through your chosen email platform, with audience selection driven by live membership data and engagement recorded back against the member. That keeps preferences, communications and responses connected rather than spread across separate lists and systems.
Communication preferences held against the member and managed by the member through the portal, by channel and by topic rather than one blanket opt-in. Email preferences are separated from other channels because members treat them differently. Consent carries its own history: what was consented to, when, and through which route, which is the difference between answering a complaint with a record and answering it with a belief.
Broadcast messages to a cohort, a group, a committee or a branch, configured per organisation and delivered into the portal as well as by email, so a member who does not open email still sees it. That dual delivery is worth more than it sounds, because email open rates in this sector make it clear that a meaningful share of your membership is effectively unreachable by email alone and always has been.
Notifications generated against a member's own activity: renewal due, CPD approaching a deadline, a booking confirmed, a document available, a message received. Relevant by construction rather than by segmentation. These are the messages members actually want, and they cost nothing to target because the system already knows the fact that triggers them.
Marketing event records, registrations and transactions, so campaign response is held against the member record rather than in a separate platform that has to be reconciled later. Holding response next to membership state is what lets you answer the question campaigns are usually unable to answer: not who clicked, but who subsequently joined, renewed or booked.
MemEx integrates with your email marketing platform rather than replacing it, with segmentation built from live membership data and engagement flowing back to the member record. Nobody is asked to give up a tool their marketing team knows. What changes is that the list is a query against current membership rather than an export somebody remembers to refresh.
