Standards, CPD and conduct

Manage CPD, professional standards, competence and conduct in MemEx - with the rules, evidence and casework that sit behind them.

CPD in MemEx is managed around the member and the requirements that apply to them. Members can record activities against their own goals throughout the cycle, while your team can track compliance by grade, cohort or branch. CPD cycles can follow the way your organisation actually works rather than being forced to align with the membership year.

Where audit or sampling is required, MemEx keeps the selected cohort, submissions, reviewers and outcomes together against the member record. Qualifications, chartership, practising status and other measures of competence can also be recorded alongside the designatory letters and status that follow from them.

Conduct and disciplinary casework is kept securely separate from general membership information, with its own evidence, correspondence, outcomes and permissions. Targets, weightings, compliance thresholds, audit rules and shortfall processes are then configured around your own scheme, rather than forcing you into a generic model.

CPD activity, assessment, goals, headers and cycles. Members record activity through the portal against their own goals; the record is theirs and visible to them at any point in the cycle rather than assembled at audit. Cycles need not align to the membership year, which is the assumption most general systems make and most professional bodies break.

Sampling for audit, with the sampled cohort, the submission, the reviewer and the outcome all held against the member. For regulated bodies this record is the point of the exercise.

Qualifications held, chartership and registrant status, practising status, and the designatory letters that follow from them.

Complaints, investigations and disciplinary casework, with the case, its evidence, its correspondence and its outcome held together and permissioned separately from general membership data — because conduct records are not ordinary member records and should not be visible to everyone who can see a membership.

Targets, weightings, compliance thresholds, what counts toward what, how a shortfall is handled and what happens at audit all differ between bodies. We configure yours rather than asking you to fit a generic framework. That configuration work is where a supplier who knows the sector saves you months — because the questions we ask about your scheme are the ones you would otherwise discover at UAT.
